This notice explains what happens to personal data you give us through this website, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
People and Prompt Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 17034798, with a registered office at 5th Floor, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.

What this notice covers
This notice covers this website only — the contact form and the analytics we use to understand how the site is used. It does not cover personal data we handle inside client systems during an engagement; that is governed by the contract with the client concerned.
When you use the contact form
We collect the name, work email address, organisation and message you type into the form. Nothing else is collected, and the form does not require an account.
We use it for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately asked us to get in touch — under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR.
Your submission is processed by Microsoft Azure Communication Services, which turns it into an email and delivers it to our inbox. Our email is provided by Google Workspace. Both act as processors on our behalf, under contract, and neither may use your data for their own purposes.
Where your enquiry goes
The Azure Communication Services resource that handles the form is located in the United States, so your enquiry passes through Microsoft infrastructure there on its way to us. Microsoft does not retain the content of the email once it has been delivered, although it holds delivery records.
This is a transfer of personal data outside the UK. It is covered by Microsoft’s standard data protection terms, which incorporate the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, and by Microsoft’s certification under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Once it arrives, the email sits in our own mailbox and goes no further.
We keep enquiries for 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them — unless you become a client, in which case the correspondence becomes part of the client record and is kept for as long as our relationship and our legal obligations require.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell, rent or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand roughly how many people visit, which parts of the page they read and what device they are on. It helps us work out whether the site is doing its job.
It only runs if you agree. When you first arrive, analytics is switched off and no analytics cookies are set. The banner asks whether you are happy for us to turn it on. If you decline, or simply ignore it, nothing is stored and no data goes to Google. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookies link in the footer.

Google acts as our processor for this, and you can read how Google handles the data in the Google Business Data Responsibility pages. We have IP anonymisation on by default in Google Analytics 4, and we have not enabled advertising features, ad personalisation or data sharing with other Google products.
One more thing is stored on your device regardless: a small entry recording whether you accepted or declined, so we do not ask you on every page. It stays in your browser, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is strictly necessary for honouring your choice.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- stop or restrict how we use it
- hand it over in a portable format, or send it to someone else
You can also object to our use of legitimate interests as a basis for processing your enquiry.
Email contact@peopleandprompt.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not happy with how we have handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this notice
If we change how the site handles personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top.
